HYDROCARBONS - AND TRAINING!
The use of hydrocarbon and A2L refrigerants has been increasing steadily in recent years as there is an ever growing demand to use refrigerants with a lower GWP. Although not a mandatory requirement yet, with their different properties and, in some cases, substantially increased flammability, understanding their safe handling can be just as important as being qualified to handle the 'F Gas' refrigerants.
A course which can be held on site (with groups of engineers and suitable facilities) or at one of the regular scheduled courses at it is run as a one day session for experienced engineers ideally already holding an up to date 'F Gas' qualification. The presentation is followed by both practical and theoretical assessments to City and Guilds' requirements and successful delegates will achieve their City and Guilds 6187-21 certificate.
Although not a mandatory qualification to purchase and use these refrigerants, it is an ideal opportunity to learn how to handle them safely and something we would strongly recommend.
